It is the mission of the Petersburg Police Department to work with the citizens of our community to preserve life, maintain human rights, protect property, and promote individual responsibility.

We recognize our responsibility to maintain order while affording dignity and respect to every individual. With the community as our partner, we are driven by goals to enhance the quality of life, addressing problems, seeking solutions, and fostering a sense of security in our community.
